Massive Rally condemning President’s statement on Missing Persons held in Vavuniya

A massive Rally and attention drawing struggle was held at Vavuniya by the Relatives of the Missing persons, yesterday.

The Rally which started with the condemnation of President’s  statement that “ all missing persons are dead … obtain your compensation” and calling for justice to the missing persons , proceeded through bazaar street , reached hospital Roundabout and came back to old bus stand.slogans were shouted in the rally:

• Where are our children?
• We want justice.
• We don’t want OMP.
• We condemn President’s statement.
• Different justice to different races.
• We handed over our husbands to the Army.

Several people participated in the rally including, MP,Sivasakthy Ananthan, former NPC Member, P. Sathiyalingam, TNPF stalwart, Sugash   and the Associations for missing persons of the five districts and representatives of Public Organizations.
