Kilinochchi Lawyers boycott court for defamatory news in a website

The Kilinochchi District Lawyers engaged in a boycott of their duties yesterday in protest of a defamatory news item uploaded in a website, against the Kilinochchi District Court.

A website has uploaded a news item defamatory to the District Court of Kilinochchi.

The boycott of the Lawyers was undertaken in protest to this news item. The activities of the Kilinochchi court were paralysed completely because of the boycott of the Lawyers.

The news item said that evidence articles handed over to the court had been sold illegally in an improper manner. Lawyers undertook the protest against this news item.
