Special hospital in the North to treat Corona patients, says Director, T.Sathiyamoorthy

The Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, Dr. T.Sathiyamoorthy said yesterday that special Hospital to treat Corona patients in the North itself and that activities has been expedited to establish this hospital .

Elaborating further he said that so far Corona patients had been sent to Welikande and Iranawila hospitals. Hence, the Provincial Health Ministry is taking speedy action to establish this hospital here. As per this a hospital in the North will be selected and converted to special hospital to treat Corona patients here, he said.

He further said that, 27 persons were tested for Corona yesterday at the Medical Faculty of the University of Jaffna and all of them were found to be negative.
