229 persons tested so far for Corona in Jaffna , 7 positives, says Director JTH, T. Sathiyamoorthy
The Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, Dr. T.Sathiyamoorthy said yesterday that to date 229 had been tested for Corona and 7 had been identified infected with Corona.
From 2nd of February to date 88 persons were admitted to Jaffna TH suspected of Corona and only one was found positive to Corona, in tests carried out on them. Results of 7 have not been received . All others have been sent home after quarantine.
141 samples were taken from people quarantined outside the Hospital for tests, and 6 were found positive to Corona. No infection was confirmed in the testes of others. However 14 of them had been quarantined further at the Palaly AF camp, he said.
