It is reported that another group consisting around 80 foreign Refugees are to be brought down to Vavuniya.
Arrangement are being made to transfer around 1,670 foreign refugees including those from Afghanistan and Pakistan to various areas in the country from Negombo following the Easter Sunday bombing.
35 foreign refugees had been brought and housed at the Poonthottam Rehabilitation Centre operating in the Northern and Eastern Provincial Cooperative Training School in Vavuniya amidst opposition from Vavuniya Politicians, Public Organizations and the Public, on 22nd of this month.
Expressing strong opposition for them being housed here, some Buddhist monks attempted to enter the camp and they were expelled jointly by Police and the Army.
It is in this context, a further group is to be brought to the Poonthottam rehabilitation centre.
