3 Fishermen missing at sea

The relatives of 3 fishermen from Navanthurai have complained to the Jaffna Police that, their relatives had gone missing at sea.

John Malcon Wimal ( aged 44), Sebamalai Alex (aged 35) and Mahendran Ruban( aged 30) of Navanthurai North are fishermen who had gone missing at sea.

They had gone to day before yesterday evening to fish in Neduntheevu seas. At around 8.00 a.m. Alex had taken a call to his wife that the boat engine had gone unserviceable. Thereafter no contact was made by them.

As no contact was possible with them the relatives have complained to the Fisheries Department and the police. The Navy was also informed and the Navy had undertaken a search for them, it was reported.
