30 Kg. Ganja buried in ground recovered at Sinnapandiviruchchan/Mannar

30 Kg.  of Kerala Ganja which was buried in a dug pit was recovered yesterday. One person who tried to sell the ganja was arrested while two other persons escaping from the spot, said the police. This incident had occurred in a forest area in Sinnapandiviruchchan in Mannar, day before yesterday.

On an information received by the STF, Jaffna, they had gone in disguise pretending to purchase ganja.

The STF were shocked to find the Ganja neatly packed in polythene and buried in the forest area, it is reported.When the STF tried to buy ganja, one person had got the ganja from the burial site. One person directly connected to the ganja was standing little further, waiting to get the money. When STF arrested the person who got the ganja out from where it had been buried, two persons standing away had escaped on a  motor cycle.

The person arrested and the Ganja was produced at the Mannar Court. Benedict Robinson from Mannar was produced before Court and remanded, it is reported.
