57 Kgs. Kerala Ganja worth Rs.11.4 million captured in Kankesanthurai

Kankesanthurai Police said yesterday that the Navy has captured 57 Kgs. of Kerala Ganja being smuggled from India to Sri Lanka yesterday.

Tn the early hours of yesterday, when the Navy was on its patrol, had come across a stationery and suspicious boat at about 11 sea miles. On inspection of the boat 57 Kgs. of Ganja were detected. A 57 years person from Viyaparimoolai, who was found on the boat was arrested and handed over to the police in the afternoon.

On completion of inquiries from the suspect he will be produced in the court the police said.
