Demonstration in Trincomalee against Uva Chief Minister alleged making Tamil Principal kneel to apologize

An attention drawing  protest demonstration condemning the Uva CM  who had made a Tamil female Principal to kneel before to apologize for not enrolling a student sent by him in her school.

The demonstration was held under the aegis of the Eastern Province Tamil Teachers Association and the principals and teachers of Trincomalee schools joined in this demonstration. This demonstration was held in front of the Eastern Province Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile the principal connected to the incident, R.Pavani, the Principal  of Badulla Girls College, had given a 7 – hours long statement.

The CM, Uva Province, Chamara Sampath Thassanayake  was produced in court and released on surety bail of Rs. 200,000/- and was ordered to appear in courts on May 16th.
