NP Governor takes action to provide 100 acre lands to 50 families at Poonakary  for Cashew cultivation

The Northern Governor Suresh Ragavan announced yesterday that 50 families will be given 2 acre each at Poonakary for increasing Cashew production.

Since, conducive environment for Cashew cultivation is prevailing  in Mannar and Poonakary areas 50 families will be formed into a cooperative and 100 acre will be distributed among them, he had said.

Having the model Cashew farm of the Northern Province Cashew Department as an example and with the advices and guidance of the officers of the said Department, this Cooperative cashew farm will be operated he said.
