Training in South India For Northern Kabady Team
The Director of Sivan Trust, Kanes Velayutham said yesterday that arrangements to train the Northern Girls, Miss. Priyawarna of Nelliyady Central and Dilaksana of Ilavalai Convent, who had won a place each in the National Kabady Team in South India has been undertaken.
Both Priyawarna and Dilaksana have secured places in the National Team which went to South Korea to participate in the National Kabady Championship of that Country and played a major role in Sri Lanka’s Team winning the 3rd place in the tournament.
No assistance has been given to these girls and following them informing of their position to Kanes Velayutham , he had immediately arranged for purchase of equipment and other financial needs.
