Join hands with Sinhalese People, to win the rights of Tamil People Athuraliya Thero calls in Jaffna
A Member of the Parliament, Athuraliya Rathne Thero has put out a call to Tamil from Jaffna soil to join hands with Sinhala People to win the Rights of the Tamil People.
Speaking in an event to award certificates to persons who had successfully completed the Sinhala as Second Language, held at the Ilankaiventhan Kaloory, Jaffna, yesterday.
So many thousands of lives are killed daily in the world. In this context, the Tamil people and Sinhala people should stand as one team of Sri Lankans without sowing seeds of differences among the Tamil and Sinhala people, he said.
An exemplary understanding should be created among the races with a view to the sustainable development of the country.
We have planned to bring 200 educated youth from the North and provide suitable employment to them.
Therefore I most lovingly invite Tamil Leaders like Wigneswaran to come forward to have dialogue with us, the Thero said.
