Sinhalese Person appointed as  Chairman of Palmyrah Development Board, Jaffna

It is learnt that that a Sinhalese person from Veyangoda had been appointed as the Chairman of the Jaffna Palmyrah Development Board.

One Kirishantha Pathirajah is the majority race person appointed as Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board, last month. Although, different persons were appointed as Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board, they were all Tamils and this is the first time a Sinhalese person has been appointed as Chairma of the Palmyrah Development Board.

It was also learnt that although the chairman is appointed  to Director Board, members have not been appointed so far.
