Mahaweli Authority has grabbed 11,232 acre in Mulaitheevu, says T.Raviharan

Former  NPC member, T Raviharan  has said yesterday that the Mahaweli Development Authority had robbed 3744 acre lands cultivated by Tamil people and had cleared jungle nearby making a total 11,232 acre under the guise of Mahaweli L Zone and attempts are being made to distribute those lands to Sinhala People.

He also said that the alternate lands promised to the Tamil are lands that had been already given to Tamil people for High land cultivation.

While the Sinhala people are to be given 25 acre each, Tamils are to be provided with only 2 acre each.

He has said that the lands of Tamil people under the tanks, which were robbed by Mahaweli Authority  should be given back to them.
