I bow to Jaffna soil – Don’t send people who come for your service empty handed, new GA advises
Kanapathypillai Mahesan, the GA of Jaffna, who took over his duties yesterday said that he considers it a privilege to serve the Jaffna soil which raised me educationally. I bow to the Jaffna soil.
He had said so speaking to the officers after taking over his duties as the new GA.
I am proud to serve in Jaffna which consists of Arts and cultural values. Jaffna is encountering several challenges. Let’s all get together to face those challenges.
I have never sent people who come to in other places where I served with empty hands. We must as much as possible services to people come with their problems to us. I know well that Jaffna District is one affected badly by war and the people are living braving all sorts problems and distresses.
I will perform this post loyal to God and people. Officer’s activities should be based on people’s interest.
If we realise that over salaries come from the people, we will be able to provide a grand service to people , he said.
