Northern Athletes shine in the National level National Youth Council Sports Festival
The 31st National Youth Council Sports Festival is being held at the North Central Province Stadium as from the 27th of February.
Northern Girls Team has won the Gold in Basket Ball Championship. Boys team has won the Gold in the Netball competition for males. The Northern girls also have won the Gold in Tug of War and Silver in Cricket championship. Boys have won the bronze in the Men’s Carrom event.
T.Mithunraj of Jaffna has won the Gold in the Discuss throw, throwing the disc to 42.50 Meters.
K.Paveenthran triple jumped to 13.69 Meters and won the Silver, in the Triple jump event.
