Sampanthan, Mawai , Sumanthiran… Get out of politics, demand the relatives of missing persons
The relatives of the Persons made to disappear have demanded that the Leader of the TNA, Sampanthan together with Mawai and Sumanthiran should get out of politics.
The continuous rotational fasting struggle of the relatives of the persons made to disappear, that is being held at Vavuniya reached its 1,111th day yesterday. In view of this, they held a protest demonstration yesterday.Lot of weeping and wailings were witnessed in the demonstration where the demonstrators carried placards bearing slogans such as:
We want our children !!!
International Community should intervene and deliver a proper solution to us !!!
Where are our children handed over to you???
An International Investigation should be held!!
It is notable that they carried USA and EU flags in this demonstration.
Commenting on their demonstration the demonstrators said that Sampanthan, Mawai and Sumanthiran should get out of politics and make way for youngsters to enter politics. War crimes should be investigated by an International Criminal Panel. UNHRC Commissioner should visit the North and East to find out about the distress of the relatives of the persons made to disappear, they said.
