Army distress people in the North and East under the guise of checking, says Selvam Adaikalanathan

A situation where the people of the North and East have to live in fearful situation as during the war period, is now prevailing in the North and East, said Selvam Adaikalanathan, a former MP.

He expressed this opinion while speaking to the media in Mannar, yesterday.

Elaborating further he said, that lot of Army Check points are found in North and East now. People are being made disembark from vehicles and re-embark. Without  any discrimination aged, children and pregnant mothers are made to disembark, walk long distances under the hot sun.

People are put into distress in the guise of checking.It is notable that these check points had been established in North and East only, he said
