No shortages of Food or fuel in the North- Legal action against hoarders, warns NP Governor

There are no shortages in the North for Food or Fuel items. Don’t get into unwanted tension said the NP, Governor, Charles.

Further, if traders engage in hoarding severe legal action will be taken against them , she warned.

It had been brought to the attention of the Governor that people had been made to rush to trade centres  fuel sales centres due to rumours spreading after precautionary activities undertaken in the country.

No shortages are existing for these items now and people need not get into unnecessary rush and if any such shortages will occur immediate action will be taken to bring them down from Colombo, she said.

The Governor also had ordered all private tuition centres be closed until further notice.
