Increase of Army checking on a daily basis- Public inconvenienced

The number of Army check points are on the increase on a daily basis. There are three check posts on the Mankulam – Mulaitheevu Main Road in Mulaitheevu District

These three Check posts have been established at Karippaddamurippu, Karuvelankandal and Muliyawalai Thekkankadu.

The Army personal stationed at Karuvelankandal are in the practice of recording, Names, Address, NIC No,and Telephone numbers as well as obtaining their signatures.

These activities are found to create fear among people. Likewise check post are being  established at Manthuvil and Visvamadu on Mulaitheevu-  Paranthan Road, at Mannakandal area on the Odduchuddan – Puthukudiyiruppu Road and it is notable that check posts had already been established onMulaitheevu – Kokkilai Road, Mulaitheevu – Muliyawalai Road and Nedunkerny – Puliyankulam  Road.
