Shortage of Milk powder in Amparai- Expectant mothers and children in difficulties

As a great shortage in milk powder packets is prevailing in whole of Amparai, expectant mothers and children are being put in into much difficulties. No milk powder  packet is available in any shop in Kalmunai. Even the whole sale businessmen saying that no stocks are available.

Particularly, shortages are prevailing for milk powder used by elders and children. Although Rs. 2,000/= food coupons are issued by the Divisional secretariat the shops are refusing to issue things on them as the Divisional Secretariat had not paid the payments from January to March.

Hence, concerned parties have requested that arrangements are made speedily to sent milk powder items to Amparai District.
