Corona threat continues in Jaffna, says Director, Jaffna Teaching Hospital, Dr.Sathiyamoorthy
The Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, Dr.T.Sathiyamoorthy has said yesterday that the threat of Corona virus had not subsided in Jaffna.
Hence, tests on persons admitted to Corona ward of JTH and persons who had contacts with corona confirmed persons will be continued he said.
He said as above in a media conference held at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital yesterday.
Elaborating further he said that the JTH and University of Jaffna had joined hands with regard to conducting the medical tests for Corona Virus. These tests are being undertaken with the help of several persons. These tests are being held in a safe and reliable manner. I thank all those who are helping in the North for conducting these tests.
No one tested during the last 5 days was confirmed to be with Corona virus. However as the threat is continuing in the North, tests on persons admitted to Corona ward of JTH and persons who had contacts with corona confirmed persons will be continued he said.
