Canadian Director to make a film on Mulliwaikkal Catastrophe soon

A Canadian Film Director Kanthasamy Ketheeswaran has announced that he will make a full length film in English so as to bring the truths to screen of disasters of Mulliwaikkal.

He has announced so in a media Conference held recently in the Jaffna Press Club.

For the last three decades I have produced several English films in Canada. The film “Beneath the skin wind told story” which was directed by me has won three awards. That is to say that I have won the Best Film Award in 2002 in New York Film festival. I have produced films such as Divine Dancers in heaven, Divine Musical Dancers, Lunatic lover and Poet and Pearl in the heart. I have earned a good name as a Film Director in my films which are produced in low budget being considered  comparable to high budget films.

I am searching for quality Camera men in Jaffna. If it is not possible, I wish to bring good Cameramen from Tamil Nadu and shoot the film. I attempting to bring to light the iniquities perpetrated in my mother land to screen. I have around 100 true stories on Mulliwaikkal. My film will bring out only truths”, he said.
