Commander , Security forces – Jaffna promoted and transferred

The Commander of the Security Forces – Jaffna, Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya  has been transferred from the 8^th of this month.  Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya  who has been transferred from Jaffna has been appointed as the Commander of the Volunteer Force.

It is reported that the Commander of the Security Forces – Eastern Province, Major General Senarath Bandara is to be appointed as the new Army Commander.

As no transfer could be effected within two weeks from the election day, special permission has been obtained from the Election Commission, for effecting this transfer.
