We are not supporting Maithree, expecting him to give solutions – Says Ariyanenthran in Kalkudah
Mahinda has not delivered any solution, but please don’t vote Maithree thinking he will give solutions. No body should think that he will give solutions, said Mr.Pa.Ariyanenthiran, the MP for Batticaloa District.
The propaganda meeting of the Tamil National Alliance, for the Kalkudah eletorate,supporting the common candidatewas held in the YMCA Building, valaichenai with Mr.Thurairajasingam, the General secretary of the federal Party and the TNA member of the Eastern Provincial Council, in the chair, on saturday.
While speaking there, the MP further said:
In the 2005 elections we voted for Sarath Fonseka, just because we wanted to vote against this President. He is no relationship with him. We did so because we should not support a person who had destroyed our race, our property,our practices, our Arts and our culture.
They say that peace had dawned. But we should think for a moment as to how we are living in this peace environment.Are we living freely? Are we assembling freely? Are we taking our children to school freely? Is it possible to hold an event of the Tamil National Alliance freely? More Intelligence people than ordinary follow us in the meetings held by us.
The Government claims that it had released 12,000 Ex-Militants who participated in the war. But could these ex-militants sleep peacefully at home? NO! They are still being followed.This Government which had won the war is still retaining 500 prisoners.
Several parties in Sri Lanka had decided to change this rule. Mahinda has not delivered any solution, but please don’t vote Maithree thinking he will give solutions. No body should think that he will give solutions.
But, this voting is not for showing that the Tamils have not accepted the incumbent President. We should show that we are against him. Even in the elections after Mullivaikal Massacre Tamil people were committed to the decision of the Tamil National Alliance.
