International Investigation had been held: the report of that investigation is to be released now, says Sampanthan
An International Investigation on the Human Rights Violations in Sri Lanka had been done and the report of this investigation will be published in a few days, said Sampnthan, the Leader of TNA.
Three of the constituent parties of the TNA (TELO, PLOTE AND EPRLF) conferred on Sunday in Colombo and had requested the IATK the fourth and the largest part of TNA, to convene the highest level Committee of TNA, the Coordinating Committee immediately.
In context of reports diffusing that there is dissatisfaction among these parties after the allocation of National list positions, following the results of the General election. The leaders of the three parties had conferred in Colombo, a second time and discussed future plans.
Several matters including the necessity for the Investigation to be undertaken after the submission of the UNHRC report at the UNHRC sessions in September to be an International Investigation and the importance and necessities of the TNA operating on a institutionalized basis were discussed in this meeting.
The Leader of the TNA, Era Sampanthar had announced his position regarding this meeting and the requests placed before the ITAK. He had said that he and his party were insisting on International investigation in Sri Lankan affair, a resolution was adopted in UNHRC in March last year and that Investigation had now taken place and that, the report of this investigation will be published in a few days.
