Political Solution Plan on the basis of the Historical Sovereignty of the Tamil people: CM

” The people of the North and East are eligible to sovereignty on a historical basis. The Solution plan of the NPC will be prepared on this basis. We have commenced the collection of historical documents for this purpose.” said the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

The task of preparing the Solution plan of the Tamil People, in order to submit the Tamil people’s solution to be included in the new Constitution of Sri Lanka, started yesterday under the hegemony of CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

Although 19 persons were appointed to the Committee for preparing the Solution Plan, only 12 took part in yesterday’s sitting, held at the CM’s Secretariat.

 Clarifying further, the CM said that, the matters regarding the interests of Tamil people should be made to   be enacted into the new Sri Lankan Constitution. We have decided to prepare the solution plan with the stand that ‘the Tamil people are eligible to sovereignty on a historical basis’ as the basis. We are trying to get the long history of Tamil people document it and make it enacted into the New Constitution.

We have handed over the responsibility of finding out and documenting the history, to the Minister of Education, T Kurukularajah. Other members will assisting him”, he said.
