He was speaking in the inauguration of the website for updating proposals for reconciliation process and a discussion with Civil Society representatives, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera, at the Jaffna District Secretariat today, 12th.

In order to start the important functions in Accountability people who had received the respect of the society had been appointed in this committee.
It is important that the affected people should tell their aspirations to this committee without any fear, clearly and enthusiastically.
The Government had not only given some guarantee to the international community but also to us, and we are giving our support in matters with regard to accountability.
It is also our duty to oversee whether things are happening in accordance with the guarantees given to us. When Proposals are recorded, for the reconciliation mechanism the affected people should take part and declare their opinions without hesitation. We will support to make this to be effective, he said.
