Financial assistance to kidney patients

The government has formulated a scheme to provide monthly assistance of Rs.3000 to kidney patients. President Maithripala Sirisena gave away special monthly allowance of Rs 3000 to selected kidney patients at an event in Pollanaruwe. He stated that around 25,000 kidney patients have died following the disease during the last ten years.
