Secret meeting for plotting against CM, of NCP ITAK members behind closed doors

The ITAK members of the NPC was summoned for a meeting for discussing ” Current political situation and the Solution plan” yesterday. This meeting was held at the ITAK Office at Martyn Road, Jaffna, behind closed doors. Information had leaked that this meeting was held to plot against the CM. However , the Party leadership refused to publicize the details of what happened in this meeting.

In a context of failures of attempting to bring a no-confidence motion against the CM and submitting a letter with forged signatures calling the CM to abstain from attending TPC meeting, now comes this intrique. One concerned NPC ITAK member said that he view this meeting as a continuation of the trend of trying to dissolve NPC, trying topple CM himself etc. He also expressed concern that such attempts will finally split the TNA.

It is also notable that an exclusive meeting was held at the residence of Era Sampanthn, last week, attended by Sampanthan, Mawai Senathyrajah,M.A.Sumanthiran and Minister Sathiyalingam presumed to be for plotting against the CM. Yesterday’s urgent meeting is looked up as the continuation of the above meeting. However another NPC member said that Mawai will not take a stance against the CM.
