Teacher shortage in Killinochi Education Zone

There is a Shortage of 76 teachers in 43 schools in the Kilinochchi Education zone, according to reports.

Reports reveal that in 104 schools from grade 6 to 11 grade classes, there are shortage of 76 teachers to teach important subjects such as  Mathematics, Science and English in 43 schools.

According to the information from the Educational Zonal department there is shortage of 35 teachers for Science subject, 21 teachers for maths and 20 teacher for English subject.

Parents have sent details of the shortage of teachers have been sent to both the Northern Provincial Education Ministry and Northern Province Education Department.
