Centre implementing projects at its own will without consulting us, says CM, NPC

The projects undertaken by the Centre are implemented contacting only the officials and without consulting us. We are finding it difficult to study or investigate any frauds involved in these projects because of this mode of activities, said the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

The event for granting aids to people affected by war, through “Helping Bridge” scheme was held at Kaithady Sri Vinayagar Hall on Saturday. Participating in the event the CM addressed the gathering.

He further said that, “ We are carrying out several projects to help the people affected by war under this “Helping Bridge” scheme. But world is expecting big projects from us.

Unfortunately, bigger schemes are undertaken, very often without consulting us and with only the officials being consulted. Because of this we could not take any action when frauds occurred in the NELSIP Scheme. Any scheme implemented in the Province should be implemented through us. The 65,000 housing scheme also was not implemented with consultation with us. We ask to consult us for the purpose of reflecting the opinions of the people”, he said.
