Army agrees to release Vallai – Araly road upto Kadduvan Junction
The army has given a favourable decision regarding releasing of release Vallai – Araly road upto Kadduvan Junction, Jaffna Secretariat sources said. This consent of the Army had been given in a negotiation between the Secretariat Officials and the Army.
201 acre lands were released on the 25th of last month. But, the containing the Kadduwan Junction in Vallai- Araly road was not included in the the lands released.released . Instead the had constructed a new road across private lands.
The owners of the private lands through which the new road was constructed, objected the construction through theirlands and refused to allow passage through their lands. Following this the official had discussions with the Army Commander for Jaffna District and he had consented to release this road and that this road will be opened for the public soon, said the Secretariat Officials
