Wigneswaran met President Maithripala Sirisena

 Northern Provincial Council Chief Minister Justice C. V. Wigneswaran met President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon at 2pm.

Home Affairs Minister Joseph Michael Perera, Northern Provincial Council Governor Palihakkara, Eastern Provincial Council Governor Austin Fernando, Secretary of Foreign  Affairs Ministry Mrs. Chitranganee Wagiswara , Commander of the Navy, Northern Provincial Council Minister Deniswaran, Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardene and Secretary of Fisheries Ministry   were also present at this meeting.

The Tamil Diplomat learns that the issue of Genocide Resolution passed by  the Northern Provincial Council last Tuesday was not discussed at the meeting.

Only the matters relating to Indian fishermen issues and land issues in Palaly areas were discussed.
