Mahajana’s  Anitha wins Gold again and establishes a record

J.Anitha of Mahajana College, Jaffna secured the Gold Medal in the under 21, Pole-vault event of the National School Athletics Meet that is being held now at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy.

Anitha cleared a height 3.30 M , beating a record of 3.17 M established in 2014 by A.Pavithra of Arunothaya College, Alaveddi.

It is notable that Anitha also won a gold medal National Track & Field meet held in Duraiyappa Stadium recently clearing a height of 3.41 M, which is also a National Record.

J.Sugirtha of Palai Central won a Silver clearing 3.20M.

In the under 21 Hurdles 100M event, Mahajan’s J.Antha secured the Bronze, running the distance in 16.4 Seconds.
