New Divisional Secretary assumes duties in Trincomalee

The new Divisional Secretray K. Pushpakumara who was appointed by the government assumed duties at the Trincomalee Divisional Secretariat eyesterday. Earlier,a retired military officerMaj.Gen. D.R.de Silva had been holding the post under the previous regime. Tamil National Alliance had been demanding that a civilian be appointed to the post.
