Dramatic fall of onion prices in Jaffna

Onion prices have fallen dramatically during the last days in Jaffna. Farmers say that onion production is at its peak in Jaffna and currently it  has reached the point of complacency. This excess supply in the market has reduced the price levels and onion farmers undergo a burdensome experience to sell their cultivations at a reasonable price.
