Kanthavanesan Kavilavan  in the National Team for Asian Basketball Championship in Bangladesh

A Vavuniya youth has secured a place in the Sri Lanka Team for Asian Basketball Championship to be held at Bangladesh capital Dakka.

Kanthavanesan Kavilavan  of the Vavuniya MMV has been selected to represent the under 18 Sri Lankan Basketball Team. Kailavan had excelled in Provincial level Track & Field events and Games like Basketball.

In a context of absence of proper Basket Ball Court and Qualified Coaches, it is notable that this  youth has secured a place in the National Basket Ball Team.

12 Medals to St. John’s, Jaffna in Karate

The School  Karate Competition  for 2018 was held at the Nelliyady Centarl College. St John’s College, Jaffna won a total 12 Medals  including 11 Golds and a Bronze.

Arul Jotheeswaran Thanusan and V.Nivethan had brought glory in being felicitated as achievers in winning 4 Golds each.
