Ranil accepts  the Truth: Development is much less in the North  

The Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremasinge said yesterday that in comparison other areas of Sri Lanka, the Development in the North is very much less.

Speaking to the gathering, after declaring open the Kilinochchi grain stores, he said so to them.

Elaborating further he said,” We have launched a good project in the Northern Province. North had been devastated by war. People had died. Families were rendered decadent. The war had ended now. Peace is there. But there are several problems here still. One of them is economy. Although peace had dawned, The Development is very much less.

 We have devised a special programme to be introduced to famers. High ways to connect Pooneryn –Mannar – Vavuni and a High way to Trincomalee will be constructed. With Indian assistance the Palaly airport and Kankesanthurai  harbour will be developed.

As citizens of Sri Lanka we should share  happiness and sorrow.    We also share your sorrows. All should live a good life he said.
