Vallalai and Vasavillan to be released first for Re-settlement

As per a decision reached to allow resettlement in Valli North in a discussion with the Minister of re-settlement, Swaminathan, follow-up action are being taken to release the above two areas. 1100 Acres are to be released in the 1^st stage.

In a 1^st meeting of the  Re-settlement Committee, held yesterday at the District Secretariat, Jaffna, it was decided that clearance certificate should be obtained. The Hallow Trust will undertake Technical survey  of the areas and deliver required certificate.

 On the basis of these certificates people will be allowed resettle in stage. Accordingly, Vallalai and Illavalai in that order will be released for resettlement.
