Arshika in Weight Lifting Gold in National Weight Lifting Championships
The National Weight Lifting Championships under aegis of National Wight Lifting Federation are being held at the Colombo Dorington Stadium now.
Arshika Vijayabaskar, a student of Jaffna Chundikuli Girl’s College, participating in the above Championship representing Jaffna Weight Lifting Federation in the 64 Kgs. Division won the Gold Medal in this event lifting 178 Kgs.
It is notable that Aasika Participated in the National Schools level Weight Lifting Championship held at the Agrabhodi National College, in the under 20 years – 63 Kgs group and won the gold establishing a National Record. Other Medals Won are:
