Lands disseised in the pretext of establishing Bird Sanctuaries

Lot of barriers and interferences are created against carrying out the  Development works, in villages coming under Mannar Town Council, said a member of the Mannar Town Council, Ratnasingam Kumares.

He further said that, current Development Projects are being affected by the disseises of land areas from   Vankalai to Sirunavatkulam and Thiruketheeswaram and areas in Mannar Town like, Pallimunai, Mannar fort, South  bar, and station and been encroached in the guise of establishing bird sanctuaries.

These blockades should be removed for the development to proceed, he said.
