The Government accepts that there are 275 political prisoners prisons

 Accepting the existence of 275 Tamil political prisoners government making arrangements  to review their cases individually, it is reported. When the TNA earlier suggested the same number the Attorney General’s Department denied it.

 Relevant Officers are directed to review each of the individually and submit reports on or before 31 March, said TNA MP, Sumanthiran. This number is inclusive of those who are charged in the courts, who are not charged in any court and sentenced prisoners.

Further action will be decided on the 31^st by the special committee.
