Army conducts search in Thenmaradchchi  Divisional Secretariat day before yesterday

Heavy guard was mounted on Thenmaradchchi Divisional Secretariat day before yesterday, by Police and the Army  and a search conducted there, by which staff and public experienced lot of discomfort.

As no security was provided in the past, and as the heavy security was mounted suddenly, tension prevailed among the staff and public.

The staff and the people were allowed to go in after a long wait.

It was later learnt that security was mounted to prevent a  protest to be undertaken by the people in front of the Secretariat.
