People protest against construction of High Tech towers in Jaffna residential areas by JMC

An attention drawing protest was held near  Jaffna Hindu Primary School against Towers with High Technology being built by Jaffna Municipal Council in Jaffna Town Area.

The people participated in the protest said that these towers are being constructed by the Jaffna Municipal Council in an authoritative manner without informing the matters involved in the subject area of the towers to public.

There are three schools and concentrated residents are found and hence the newly constructed tower should be removed, they said.

If the Municipality will not heed to their request they will engage in struggle in the coming month.
