Accident victims remembered at Sangathanai. 11 flames lighted in their memory by local people

11 flames were lighted at Sankaththanai in remembrance of 11 Sinhalese people, killed in an accident last Saturday. Large number of local people participated in this event.

It is notable that a Hi-Ace van crashed against a SLTB bus and 11 travelers in the van were killed. The local people played major role in rescuing the victims from the wreckage and admitting them to hospital, which had drawn much praise from the relatives of the victims. Bodies of ten victims were taken to south in a special flight with the assistant of Air Force and one was taken by vehicle.
