Action to appoint Majith as Governor of Eastern Province and Daya Gamage as the CM

Action are underway to appoint M.S.D. Majith from Pothuvil as the new Governor of the Eastern Province while appointing Daya Gamage of the UNP as the Chief Minister, it is reported.

Following the change of Government at the centre, these actions are taken to institute similar change of power in the Provincial Councils too.

Meanwhile it is learned that, two portfolios of the Eastern Province are to be given to Tamil National Alliance.

Tamil National Alliance circles said that negotiations are underway regarding this.
