The people of kepapulavu reported that the Army has announced to them parts of the lands of people occupied by them.
The Kepapulavu who are being housed in temporary camps for the last 7 years has undertaken several struggles in the past to re-settle them in their ancestral lands.
In this context the Officer in charge of the Kepapulavu Army Camp has called the Kepapulavu people and held a discussion yesterday, said the people of Kepapulavu. During this meeting the Officer in Charge has said that some parts of the ancestral lands will be released soon and alternate lands will be distributed among the people in lieu of the other lands. However the people said that their School, MPCS, Public Hall and Post office are not included in the lands promised to be released.
