Allow us to shed tears and pay homage at places we buried our dead, Sritharan writes to President

Sritharan MP has written to President Gotabhaya Rajapakse requesting him to allow Tamil people to shed their tears , light memorial flames, pay floral tributes and homage at places where we had buried our dead.

I hope that you have understood how the Tamil people have had paid their homage to their dead for the last 4 years without contravening the constitution of the country or the PTA.

Especially the cooperation offered to pay homage after your self took over as the President is laudable.

I express through this letter the hopes of Tamil people that you who have taken over the leadership of the country after the end of the ethnic war will take suitable action to eliminate basic factors that were the root cause of the ethnic war, he said in this letter.
