Analativu locked down, says GA, Jaffna

The Analaitivu Island has been locked down by Health Department until further notice , said the GA,Jaffna, K.Mahesan. He announced this in a media conference yesterday.

Two persons who had smuggled Turmeric from India were arrested in Analaitivu.  On suspicion that they had moved around Analaitivi the Health Department has locked down Analaitivu until further notice. Further, it has been found out that one of the arrested persons had visited Karainagar and 5 families there are subjected to self quarantine.

The Governor has issued an order to collect the details of persons who had visited the North from Western province and undertake PCR on them.
